A group of tennis loving volunteers banded together and created a special evening of fun and fundraising to benefit the IRF.
Susan Payne, an area business owner and longtime volunteer at the agency’s family shelter, notes that "most people wouldn’t believe the tremendous need there is right here in Bergen County—the number of people who have fallen on hard times and lost everything, and children who don’t have enough to eat." She adds, "it's incredible, and right here in our back yard. If not for agencies like the IRF, what would happen to these people? They truly are the forgotten, especially here in the midst of all of Bergen County’s wealth."
